The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Council has adopted a plan that will see some candidates from constituent parties step down.
Those stepping down will be required to support perceived popular candidates.
Governor, parliamentary, senatorial and ward candidates are targeted in the plan.
This is aimed at countering increased sibling rivalries that might cost the coalition majority seats in the August polls.
Coalition’s secretary general Junet Mohammed said the Council approved a strategy to rationalize and harmonize candidates in all elective positions
Those willing to step down have been promised plum state jobs .
