Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Tinubu, has dismissed rumors of ill health reported by the Nigerian media.
His campaign team stated that Tinubu traveled abroad to rest and prepare his transition program after an intense presidential campaign.
In a country where a former president passed away in office due to a prolonged illness and the current president often travels abroad for medical check-ups, Tinubu’s health has become a subject of concern.

Despite appearing frail during some campaign events with slow and slurred speech, Tinubu denied having any health issues.
Two of his closest opponents have challenged his victory in the recently concluded presidential election.
Tinubu’s spokesperson stated that the president-elect would return soon, but did not disclose his location.
