Famous comedian and actor now turned TV host Erick Omondi blasts gospel artists and claims the gospel industry is dead. According to Erick, gospel artists have failed us big time, yet for the longest time; the industry was the identity of Kenya.
Where is Daddy Owen, where is Jimmy Gait, where is Mercy Masika, where is Alice Kamandewhere is Gloria Muliro, where is Eunice Njeri? He casually asked. He further alleged that the industry had fallen and gospel artists had many scandals compared to their secular counterparts. And that the fall of Kenya is upon them.
Through the video posted on his Facebook handle, he accused some artists of immorality and sexual sin. “Dk Kwenye Beat alikua a Gonorrhea, willy paul is leaving the gospel industry, and now they are just having sex in Umoja.”

He went ahead to attack the personal lives of the artists. He urged them to return to God “jimmy gait anauza laptop, anachukua wasichana wetu anawapeleka Saudi Arabia all he does on Instagram is no longer ministry.” He urged Jimmy gait to return to ministry because he won’t succeed until he returned to his God-given talent.
The enraged comedian gave the gospel artists advice that he claimed was from God. “Whatever you touch, whatever you do, wont go anywhere until you come back to your initial calling.” he said. He further alleged that the rise in homosexuality in Kenya is because some gospel artists, whom he can mention, are part of the community.
He urged them to leave the immorality and turn to god because they had turned the country into Sodom and Gomorrah! A section of his followers applauded him for the bold approach and urged him on, including former Nairobi Governor Hon. Mike Sonko made a comparison of eric to Balaam. “I’ve listened to eric Omondi, and I remembered the story of Balaam in the bible. God used a donkey to listen to Balaam and warn him,”. Said Sonko. But others questioned under whose authority he speaks because of his cross-dressing trends, although it’s a part of his content creation career.
