Wycliffe Oparanya has vowed to remain in the Azimio la Umoja coalition which is the opposition as Kenya Kwanza takes over the Country’s leadership on Tuesday.
Oparanya speaking at his Likuyani home checked those switching from Azimio la Umoja to Kenya Kwanza.
“Quite a number of members of Azimio going to Kenya Kwanza is very unfortunate and if they are being enticed to move, then it is an election fraud because you cannot be talking about Azimio just a week ago then move to Kenya Kwanza thereafter because maybe you want favors,” said Oparanya.
Oparanya as part of the opposition further promised to keep the incoming Government in check on matters governance and ensuring they fulfill the promises made to Citizens during the election campaigns.
“We must have a strong opposition that will oversight the ruling party. They made promises and we are looking forward to making sure that they deliver. But as for me I will stick in the opposition, I have been given a chance to be in opposition.” Added the former Governor.
The former Governor also denied rumors of him joining the Kenya Kwanza Coalition and added that if he were to switch it would be publicly.
Some of the major political leaders affiliated with Azimio la Umoja have also vowed to remain in the party and work together to ensure a strong opposition is maintained.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is among those determined to keep the opposition solid.
