President William Ruto has rejected demands by opposition leader Raila Odinga to have Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) open servers.
The head of state on Thursday, February 23 sneered at Raila Odinga’s latest demands emphasizing that they were an ‘insult to our collective intelligence and democracy’.
“It is necessary for our friends to know that the servers were opened when we all went to the polling stations,” he said.
Moreover, Mr. Odinga while speaking on Wednesday, February 22 during Azimio la Umoja One Kenya’s anti-government rally at Jevanjee Gardens in Nairobi asked the electoral body to open the servers and clear the air on the transparency of the August 9, 2022, Election.

Furthermore, the opposition leader maintains that IEBC specifically the former Chairperson Wafula Chebukati stole his victory.
However, President Ruto reminded the Mr. Odinga that the servers were opened during the entire process of the election from the registration exercise of voters to the dismissal of his petition at the Supreme Court that challenged his victory.
“Demanding servers to be opened now is taking us for granted. Is to be believe that there are fools in Kenya. I want to tell our friends that the severs have always been opened,” the president stated.
