The company owner behind ChatGPT on Wednesday announced that they will be introducing a $20 (Ksh2480) monthly subscription that offers users priority access to the AI Chabot even during peak times.
The plan, ChatGPT Plus, is in response to how viral the chatbot went, with abilities to generate essays, content and answering diversely asked questions.
Anyone who signs up for a subscription will benefit from faster response times, and priority access to new features and improvements.

“We love our free users and will continue to offer free access to ChatGPT,” the company said in a blog post.
“By offering this subscription pricing, we will be able to help support free access availability to as many people as possible.”
OpenAI said it will begin inviting people from its waitlist in the weeks ahead.
“The preview for ChatGPT allowed us to learn from real world use, and we’ve made important improvements and updates based on feedback,” the company said in a statement.
The tool will, however, remain free for the general public.
