What the Academy Will Offers
The China-Kenya Artisans Academy will serve as a hub for developing technical expertise, promoting people-to-people diplomacy, and advancing collaboration between academic institutions and industry in both Kenya and China.
It will also act as a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary platform to nurture talent & develop artisan skills thus promoting “craftsman spirit” among the youth.
This comes a day after TVET Principal Secretary Dr. Esther Muoria co-signed an addendum to the Kenya-China partnership project.
The milestone agreement will facilitate the equipping of 70 new Technical and Vocational Colleges (TVCs) across Kenya with state-of-the-art training equipment.
This move is expected to significantly boost the capacity of these institutions to effectively deliver Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) programmes and prepare graduates for the demands of the 21st-century labour market.
