BIOGRAPHY
Hussein Mohammed was born in Kenya with the exact town of birth still remains unknown from the public domain.
Educational Background
Hussein Mohammed’s life has remained private from the public with only information about is career and on how he rose to success. He attended Kanyakine High School in Meru County where he served as the chair of Journalism club.
Hussein proceeded to join Zetech University where he pursued Journalism and photography as he nurtured his career. While in Zetech University, he joined Journalism Club and participated actively in the art of Swahili Journalism.
He also became the chair of Journalism Club at Zetech University.
Hussein graduated with a master’s degree in diplomacy and international studies in 2019 from the University of Nairobi.
Hussein Mohammed Life in Journalism
After completing his studies, Hussein Mohammed he started covering events like weddings as he knocked doors for different media houses.
He landed his first job at Kenya Television Network (KTN) after an interview which before he moved to Citizen TV in 2008.
While at Citizen TV, he became a popular TV anchor in Kenya through his hard-hitting interviews.
Hussein’s high rated interviews with controversial politicians and tycoons added to his credit as a journalist. His personality earned him several awards including the male media personality of the year from the Somali Glamour Awards.
In October 2019, Hussein left Royal Media Services (Citizen Tv) after announcing that he was focusing on “other matters”
In 2022, ahead of the August 9th election, William Ruto who was a presidential candidate appointed Hussein Muhammed the head of communication in his campaigns.
When Ruto won Elections in August 2022 he appointed, Hussein Mohammed as State House spokesperson. Hussein Mohammed remains a key figure in the Kenya Kwanza regime and in shaping Ruto’s hustler narrative.
