Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Barcelona players are dominating Goal’s updated Ballon d’Or Power Rankings for 2025.
PSG and Barcelona had wonderful seasons in the 2024/25 campaign under Luis Enrique and Hansi Flick, respectively.
Enrique took over as PSG’s manager in July 2023 and has led the Club to its first Champions League trophy.
Flick has also led Barcelona to a domestic treble, securing the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup in his debut season.
These achievements have put PSG and Barcelona players at the forefront of the Ballon d’Or conversation.
Here’s a closer look at the top contenders in Goal’s latest Ballon d’Or Power Rankings for 2025.
1. Ousmane Dembélé
PSG striker Ousmane Dembélé tops the Ballon d’Or rankings after playing a crucial role in PSG’s treble win in the 2024/25.
He won the UEFA Champions League, Ligue, Coupe de France and the French Super Cup.
Four trophies make him the best candidate to win the award.
He scored 35 goals and provided 15 assists throughout the season.
In Ligue 1, he was the joint top scorer with 21 goals, alongside Mason Greenwood of Marseille.
Dembele provided two assists in the Champions league final against Inter Milan.
2.Lamine Yamal
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is the second in Goal’s power ranking.
Yamal has had a brilliant season under Flick with 19 goals and 26 assists.
The 17-year-old helped Barcelona win the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España.
He was top of the La Liga assists chart with 13, making him the only player with double digits.
With his impressive performance in the Champions League, Yamal is the best candidate within the Barcelona dressing room to win the award.
3.Raphinha
Raphinha might be the first Brazilian to win the award after Kaka.
He scored 39 goals and provided 25 assists in the 2024/25 season.
Raphinha was second in the La Liga assist charts with 9 and sixth on the top scorers list with 18 goals.
4.Mohamed Salah
Salah signed a new two-year contract at Liverpool after winning the second Premier League trophy with the Club.
Salah finished the season with 36 goals and 24 assists.
He won the Premier League Golden Boot with 26 goals and was top of the assist table with 18.
Salah also led Liverpool to the Carabao Cup final, where they lost to Newcastle United.

5.Kylian Mbappe Features in Ballon d’Or Ranking
Mbappe scored 43 goals and provided 5 assists in his first season at Real Madrid.
He scored 31 goals in La Liga, winning the Spanish Golden Boot and the European Golden Boot.
Mbappe has outstanding moments in the season, scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League and another one against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.
Real Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.
6.Desire Doue
Doue scored two goals in the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
Besides, he provided two assists in the Coupe de France final against Stade de Reims.
He finished the season with 15 goals and 16 assists despite not being a regular starter for the team.
Doue won the Tremble in his first season at PSG.
7.Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Kvaratskhelia became the second player in history to win two league titles in different countries.
He played the first half of the season with Napoli, scoring five goals before transferring to PSG in January.
Napoli won the Scudetto, earning him a Serie A winner’s medal.
He went ahead to win the Ligue 1 title with PSG.
Kvaratskhelia scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists during the 2024/25 season.
8.Achraf Hakimi
Hakimi scored the first goal against Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
Additionally, Hakimi scored in the league quarterfinals and semi-finals, placing him 8th in the Ballon d’Or rankings
The right-back scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions.
Hakimi also had 20 clean sheets, winning the treble with PSG.

9.Pedri
Pedri displayed an outstanding performance for Barcelona during the season.
He is currently ranked among the best midfielders in the world, crucial in Barcelona’s domestic treble win.
Pedri scored 6 goals and provided 9 assists.his understanding and control of the game leaves him 9th in the power rankings.
10.Harry Kane
Kane won his first trophy, the Bundesliga title, with Bayern.
The England captain scored 26 goals in the league, winning the Golden Boot.
He finished the season with 43 goals and 13 assists.
