Senator Samson Cherargei wants members of Azimio la Umoja Coalition removed from government.
According to the Nandi senator, the Azimio members in public service should be removed because they do not support President William Ruto’s leadership.
He further added that their removal will safeguard President Ruto’s plans.
While speaking during an interview with Spice FM on Wednesday, February 21, Cherargei noted that his proposal has already been implemented in the selection of Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) and Principal Secretaries (PSs).
As such he stated that other levels of government should do the same.
“In this government, there are still very many remnants of Azimio One Kenya Alliance in senior positions, and they should be shown the door. There is no option,” he said.

In addition, Senator Cherargei argued that it beats logic to have public servants working under a president they oppose. Instead, they should be replaced with those supporting the President’s “vision”.
“These are people that were known to not respect the president when he was the deputy, they campaigned for the other candidate but how can you service under me when you did not believe in my vision,” he said.
The Nandi senator also stated that if President Ruto lost in the polls, the same thing would happen to Kenya Kwanza members.
“Even if Azimio had won he would also be cleaning up the system to get the remnants of people who were purported or thought to be friends of William Ruto and that is the tradition,” he said.
