Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has joined Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi in criticizing Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking on May 29 while attending the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Delegates Conference at the Bomas of Kenya, Sakaja singled out the deputy party leader DP Rigathi Gachagua accusing him of bullying other leaders in the ruling coalition.
He further accused the DP of intimidating his bid for the party Chairmanship in Nairobi.
“I’ve been through a lot, and I’m not easily intimidated, nobody has the right to say I was given the seat. I was elected,” Sakaja said.
“You can’t bully people for two years and then start crying when you are mentioned in one week.”
Sakaja also asked Gachagua to stopping fighting President William Ruto but rather respect him and other elected leaders.
He further dismissed his critics as being motivated by tribal politics and reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his gubernatorial mandate.
The meeting came a few days before the party polls slated for Friday May 31.

Similarly, UDA Members of Parliament (MPs) led by Oscar Sudi faulted Gachagua’s over remarks on interfering with Mt Kenya politics.
“I heard somebody say that I should not go to other constituencies while they themselves are not in their own constituency,” Sudi remarked.
He emphasized that all UDA politicians are students of Ruto and have the authority to travel to various parts of the country to support him.
Further, Sudi vowed to disregard the DP’s ultimatum, asking him to stop the threats because he has already fought many battles, and this one is small.
The MP accused the DP of advancing tribal politics at the expense of uniting the country noting that he will seek like-minded leaders during his tours in different parts of the country.

Consequently, UDA Secretary General Malala in response to Sudi’s remarks noted that the conduct of these politicians undermines the party’s unity and disrespects the leadership they pledged to serve.
Additionally, Malala said the behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the realms of the party and urged them to desist from such actions with immediate effect.
