Manchester United’s rising star Rasmus Hojlund has etched his name into Premier League history books, becoming the youngest player to score in six consecutive games.
Hojlund made Premier League history as the Manchester United striker’s double ensured his side survived a scare from lowly Luton in their 2-1 win on Sunday, 18th February 2024.
He became the youngest player to score in six consecutive Premier League games after netting twice in the first seven minutes at Kenilworth Road.
The Manchester striker took less than a minute to break the deadlock in their win away at Luton, scoring in his sixth straight league game.
Hojlund added a second in the eight minutes as he cleverly chested Alejandro Garnacho’s wayward volley into the back of the net.

Rasmus Hojlund Outperforms Other Stars
At 21 years and 14 days old, Hojlund surpasses Joe Willock, Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Thierry Henry as the youngest Premier League player to score in six straight games.
Newcastle’s Joe Willock achieved the feat from April to May 2021 at 21 years and 272 days.
Erling Haaland scored in six games on the spin for Manchester City from August to October 2022 at 22 years and 73 days.
Since Christmas Day, Hojlund has scored seven goals in six Premier League games, having previously not scored in the league.
BBC 5 Live Sport reports that the only other Manchester United players to score in six successive Premier League games have been Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Eric Cantona, making it a prestigious list for the Dane to join.
The record was previously held by Ronaldo, who achieved the feat as a 21-year-old in 2007 while playing for the Red Devils.
Ruud van Nistelrooy on his side scored in 10 successive United top-flight outings in 2003.

Manchester United’s Striker Goals
Hojlund has showcased fine form for Manchester United, initiating his goalscoring streak on Boxing Day.
On 26 December, Højlund scored his first Premier League goal, scoring the winning goal in a 3–2 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
On 4 February 2024, Højlund scored the opener in Manchester United’s 3–0 victory over West Ham which coincided with his 21st birthday. A week later on 11 February, Højlund scored the opener against Aston Villa in a 1–2 away victory.
The youngster also scored in Manchester United’s wins over Wolves.
The £72million summer signing from Atalanta had been on fire in the Champions League previously, but his Man United teammates didn’t help him out much.
Hojlund has also scored five times in the Champions League and netted once in the FA Cup, in what is becoming an increasingly promising first campaign with the club.
Højlund made his debut on 3 September 2023, replacing Anthony Martial in the 67th minute of a Premier League match against Arsenal, which ended in a 3–1 defeat.
