Bubbly Citizen TV journalist Willis Raburu has taken his fans through what exactly led to his divorce with ex wife Marya Prude.
The heavily-built media personality has revealed that the loss of their child was the genesis of his divorce.
Raburu, who made the revelation during an interview with Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo disclosed that the loss of their child made him lose touch with many things, including his marriage.
The 10 Over 10 host added he could not live in pretense or denial hence his decision to part part ways with Prude.
According to Raburu, he was the one who initiated the divorce process.
The Citizen TV host, however, noted he went through an emotional turmoil following his divorce but moved on after a very long time.
“I lost touch and that led to many other issues, I initiated the process of divorce and all respect to her. Nobody goes into a marriage with hopes to come out. I am happy that sometimes we lost ourselves. We divorced officially and I moved on,” Raburu revealed.
Through the interview sighted by The Kenya Times, Willis Raburu credited his current wife Ivy Namu for showing him the way when he almost lost it following his divorce.
Thanks to his wife’s effort and therapy, the journalist was able to overcome the stress and now leads a happy life.
“There are still triggers but I have a conscious partner. She also had a dark past and also, and when you move in with a person who has gone through a divorce, you have to know that triggers may re-exist. My wife suggested I go for therapy for that,” Raburu added.
The latest development comes barely months after the journalist and his wife Ivy welcomed a bouncing baby boy.
The Kenya Times understands Raburu moved on to the next one with Ivy after his divorce and seems to be enjoying every bit of moment in his new marriage.
