Deputy President William Ruto while speaking during the annual National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park hotel in Nairobi on Thursday, May 26 asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive him.
Ruto admitted that he had fallen short of the president’s expectations, adding that he also forgives the him as they are all humans
“As you head to retirement, it is my prayer that God gives you every aspiration of your heart and makes it possible for you to enjoy the legacy you have built. As a DP, I may have fallen short of my boss’s expectations and I ask for forgiveness,” Ruto stated.
The deputy president further said that he had been hurt by several people as well, and vowed to forgive all of them so as go into the election period free of the debt of hurt.
Moreover, President Uhuru Kenyatta, echoed Ruto’s wishes for him saying he would wish to proceed to retirement peacefully when his term ends in August.
“I do hope the prayers of Ruto come true. I am looking forward to a lot of peace and enjoyment in the years to come,” he said.
