Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua has stated that William Ruto is a good listener who takes advise with humility.
Gachagua stated that his boss’s skills will allow seamless teamwork between them when they assume power.
Moreover, while speaking in Karen on Tuesday, September 13 morning ahead of the inauguration ceremony, Gachagua expressed confidence in working alongside President-elect Ruto. He added that administering his duties will be feasible.
In addition, Gachagua noted that he will support the President and be his advisor. He further stated that he is “bringing energy to the presidency” and complimented his boss in governing the country.
“Mine is to support the president, to ensure that the roles he assigned me are met with military precision. I will keep my ears to the ground to listen to what people are saying and advise him appropriately and luckily, he is a good listener, and he takes advice with humility,” said Gachagua.
“I will be bringing energy to the presidency. I’ll be complimenting Ruto and supporting him. He’s more than happy to have a good worker who is hardworking like himself.” He added.
Nevertheless, the deputy president in waiting confirmed that there will be cooperation and good partnership in running the nation.
Likewise, he noted that there will be no conflicts between him, and his boss as witnessed in the Jubilee government.

He further added that his partnership with Ruto exceeds political precincts as they have been “buddies” for over two decades and has confidence in him.
“Me and William Ruto have come a long way in the last 20 years, we are buddies, and we are friends,” stated Gachagua.
“I want to assure Kenyans that the issues we saw between Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta will not be there and I say that with certainty. Me and him have discussed and he has spelt out my duties quite clearly.” He added
Furthermore, the incoming deputy president mentioned that the country is in a bad situation and needs serious workers.
Similarly, Gachagua said they will keep their sleeves rolled up to revive the country’s ailing economy.
