Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has apologized to Joshua Kulei for using his photo to mourn the late Abraham Kiptanui on social media platforms.
Kalonzo took to his official Twitter handle to personally apologize to Kulei, whom he referred to as his good friend, for the mix-up that had occurred.
“I spoke to my good friend Joshua Kulei and personally apologized for the mix-up on my Twitter handle. May Abraham Kiptanui soul continue resting in eternal peace,” he tweeted on Tuesday, April 6.
The confusion in the Wiper leader’s tweet sparked some reaction on social media as some Kenyans were left wondering how Kalonzo could confuse the two people, yet he had worked with them for a long time.
The family of former State House Comptroller Abraham Kiptanui confirmed his death on the morning of Sunday, April 4, leading to the confusion.
Kiptanui breathed his last at the Nairobi Hospital, where he had been admitted for several weeks.
