Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, was involved in a road accident on May 2 along Outering Road when a lorry collided with the vehicle he was traveling in, causing significant damage.

In a video shared on his X account, Mosiria described the incident as unfortunate, stating that a lorry driver veered out of his lane and struck his car.

“This evening along Outering Road, I was involved in a road accident after a lorry driver, who was driving carelessly on the road, veered off his lane and hit the car I was traveling in, causing significant damage,” he explained.

He noted that the same driver had attempted to hit their vehicle before the collision, but they avoided the first incident by slowing down.

Mosiria, speaking in the recorded video, said the repeated actions raised concern about the driver’s conduct on the road.

“Prior to the collision, the driver had attempted to hit us earlier, but we managed to avoid him by slowing down, which raises serious concern about his intentions,” he narrated.

Mosiria expressed appreciation for the swift response by the police and indicated that investigations were ongoing.

“I reported the matter at Buruburu Police Station, where traffic police officers promptly responded, assessed the scene, and towed the lorry to the station. I recorded a Statement, and the lorry driver admitted to his mistake on the road. I appreciate the swift response by the police. As investigations continue, we hope justice will prevail, and appropriate action will be taken against the driver,” he detailed.
