The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has announced the average commercial bank lending rates for February 2025.
In a notice on March 28, CBK said the overall average lending rate is 16.41 percent, down from 16.64 percent in January 2025.

According to the CBK, Citibank N.A Kenya, Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited and the Consolidated Bank of Kenya are the banks with the lowest interest rates of 12.78 per cent, 13.68 per cent and 13.31 per cent respectively.
Kingdom Bank Limited has a lending rate of 13.86, followed by Guardian Bank Limited at 14.08 and Paramount Bank Limited at 14.28.

Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited and UBA Kenya Bank Limited are next with rates of 14.90 and 14.91 respectively.
Other banks with a lending slightly above 15 include Premier Bank Kenya Limited (15.13), Ecobank Kenya Limited (15.44), Gulf African Bank Limited (15.47), Bank of India (15.55), and Habib Bank A.G Zurich (15.75).

National Bank of Kenya Limited and Equity Bank Kenya Limited have rates of 16.04 and 16.06 respectively.
The following banks also have lending rates between 16 and 17: Guaranty Trust Bank (K) Ltd (16.08), Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Limited (16.11), Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Limited (16.17) and DIB Bank Kenya Limited (16.20).
Others are Development Bank of Kenya Limited (16.58), KCB Bank Kenya Limited (16.82), Co-operative Bank of Kenya (16.87), Family Bank Limited (16.89) and Prime Bank Limited (16.93).
ABSA Bank Kenya PLC has a lending rate of 17.25, Victoria Commercial Bank PLC (17.42), African Banking Corporations (17.49), I&M Bank Limited (17.77) and M-Oriental Bank Limited (17.91).

Banks with High Lending Rates
Banks with lending rates of between 18 and 19 per cent include NCBA Bank Kenya Limited (18.58), Bank of Africa Kenya Limited (18.60) and SBM Bank Kenya Limited (18.77).
Sidian Bank Limited, Credit Bank PLC and HFC Limited have lending rates of 19.11, 19.79 and 19.80 respectively.
The Commercial International Bank (CIB) Kenya Limited has a lending rate of 19.95.
Banks with lending rates above 20 include Access Bank (Kenya) PLC (20.39) and Middle East Bank (K) Limited (21.62).

CBK Deposit Rates
Credit Bank PLC has the highest deposit rates at 14.22 followed by Victoria Commercial Bank PLC (13.67) and Paramount Bank Limited (13.09).
When it comes to deposit rates, Premier Bank Kenya Limited offers the lowest rate at 3.21 followed by Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited at 3.36 and Access Bank (Kenya) PLC at 6.83.
