The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and Britam General Insurance have entered an agreement targeting Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in efforts to distribute affordable health insurance.
Under the new deal with a flexible health premium plan, the two companies will partner with National Bank of Kenya, where it will with KCB distribute the newly launched KCB Flme Simba Health and Uzima Tele Insurance Plans.
The KCB Uzima Tele Health specializes in providing solutions for organizations that seek to protect the health of their employees and dependents.

The KCB Flme Simba Health Plan targets women entrepreneurs with a comprehensive medical solution, including the diva wellness cover, newborn baby expenses (For the first 90 days), gynecological-related treatment, and maternity cover with ante-natal care.
“There is a need to expand access to best-in-class insurance products and offerings, especially for niche markets like SMEs,” KCB Bancassurance Intermediary Limited Managing Director Aggrey Mulumbi said.
