Sanlam Kenya Plc, formerly known as Pan Africa Insurance Holdings Co. Ltd, is an insurance company offering both short- and long-term insurance solutions in Kenya.

Through its subsidiaries, Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd and Sanlam General Insurance Ltd, the Group offers a broad range of financial solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of the Kenyan market.

It provides a range of services, including ordinary life insurance, superannuation, general insurance, and investment management.

The company offers individual life, group, and general insurance products, covering risks such as death, disability, credit protection, education, retirement, mortgage, and property protection.

In addition, Sanlam Kenya has expertise in financial planning and retirement fund management, offering comprehensive solutions in investment, wealth, and diversified asset management.

The company rebranded to Sanlam Kenya Plc in 2016 and operates as a subsidiary of Hubris Holdings Limited, with its head office located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Sanlam Kenya Plc is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

Sanlam Flexi Hela

Flexi Hela is a flexible savings and protection solution designed to help you grow your savings while enjoying life insurance cover for yourself and your loved ones.

With an open-ended term, the plan allows you to continue saving and enjoying benefits for as long as your policy remains active.

Key Features

  • Savings Contributions
    You can invest any amount of your choice, and your savings will earn interest at the declared rate. Contribution amounts can be adjusted at any time to suit your financial needs.
  • Life Cover
    The policy allows coverage for up to 11 lives, including various eligible family members. Children under the age of 10 are covered for a maximum of Ksh 100,000.
  • Waiting Period
    A six-month waiting period applies from the policy start date or after any changes are made to the policy.
  • Loans
    This policy does not offer loan access against the savings.

Education Cover

The Education Cover is a tailored savings plan designed to help parents and guardians secure their child’s future through consistent and goal-oriented saving.

This flexible solution allows you to choose your contribution amounts based on your financial capacity and future education goals.

Motor Insurance Cover

This policy safeguards you from losses or damages arising from accidents, theft, fire, or malicious acts, while also covering third-party liabilities, including death, injury, and property damage.

  • Authorised Repair Limit – Ksh 30,000
  • Medical Expenses Cover – Ksh 30,000
  • Towing Charges – Ksh 30,000
  • Windscreen Replacement Limit – Ksh 30,000
  • Vehicle Entertainment System Cover – Ksh 30,000
  • Accommodation Away from Home – Up to Ksh 5,000; for higher costs, 10% charge applies, with a maximum limit of Ksh 10,000
  • Loss of Spare Wheel & Accessories – Up to Ksh 7,500 covered for free; for amounts above Ksh 7,500, a 10% charge applies, with a maximum limit of Ksh 50,000

Fadhili Funeral Cover

The Funeral Cover provides comprehensive support during life’s most difficult moments by ensuring a dignified send-off for your loved ones.

The policy offers flexible, family-oriented benefits with a cashback reward if no claim is made.

There is no restriction on the number of spouses and children you can include in the cover. You can insure up to four parents under the policy.

Additionally, you may cover up to ten extended family members.

  • Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 18–65 years (parents can be covered up to age 85)
  • Cashback Benefit: Receive a payout every 3 years if no claims are made and the policy remains active (persistency bonus)
  • High Cover Limits: Insure your family for up to Ksh 1 million
  • Family Income Benefit: Monthly income payout for 12 months following a claim
  • Flexible Terms:
  • Adjust benefit levels or cover amounts and add or remove dependents as needed
Personal Accident Insurance Cover

The policy provides financial support in the event of accidental death, permanent or temporary disability, as well as medical expenses arising from accidents.

From infants to adults, the whole family can be covered against injury with the insurance package.

Key Features:

  • Available for all family members from infancy up to 70 years of age
  • Covers bodily injuries sustained in an accident, including those of domestic workers
  • Offers financial compensation for injuries or the unfortunate passing of a covered member
  • Reimburses medical expenses directly related to an accident
  • Compensation is provided in cases of accidental death, permanent or temporary disability, and treatment costs resulting from accidents
