M-PESA Medical Fund Paybill: Application Requirements
For a Medical Fund Short-Term Paybill, applicants must provide identification and documents confirming the medical need for the fundraising.
Applicants are required to submit:
- Copy of the front and back of the applicant’s National ID, passport, alien ID or military ID.
- Certified medical supporting documents from the hospital or doctor treating the patient. The document should confirm the need for fundraising, such as an operation or required treatment, and must be on the institution’s letterhead, stamped and signed by an authorized official.
- Where the application is made on behalf of the beneficiary, additional documentation may be required.
- If the beneficiary is a minor, the parent or guardian should apply and attach the child’s birth certificate.
- If the beneficiary is incapacitated, certified copies of the applicant’s identification documents are required.
M-PESA Education Fund Paybill
Applicants seeking an M-PESA Short-Term Paybill for an Education Fund must provide identification documents and proof of the beneficiary’s education needs.

Applicants seeking an M-PESA Short-Term Paybill for a Wedding Fund must provide identification documents and proof of the planned wedding.

How to Apply for M-PESA Short-Term Paybill
The application can be completed through the official M-PESA for Business platform. M-PESA for Business Short-Term Paybill application.
Applicants begin by selecting the Paybill period, with available options ranging from one to six months.
The application form requires the applicant’s first and last name, email address, identification document type and number, phone number, proposed Paybill name and physical address.
Applicants must also provide their city or town, nominated phone number and Paybill owner phone number. Postal address and postal code are optional fields.
