Kenyan record contender Truphena Muthoni has issued a formal public update following online claims questioning the status of her recent Guinness World Records attempt, stating that the evidence submission process is ongoing and that Guinness World Records has yet to make a final determination.
In a statement shared on her official social media platforms, Muthoni urged the public to disregard what she described as false or premature information suggesting that her world record attempt had been rejected.
“Avoid false information that my world record attempt cannot be approved by Guiness World Records. I am in the process of uploading my evidence and in the coming days , it will be published,” Truphena posted.
She clarified that she remains actively engaged with Guinness World Records officials and is in the process of uploading the required verification materials through the organization’s official application system.
Truphena’s Highly Anticipated World Record
The update follows increased public attention and speculation after her record attempt, which drew widespread online engagement.
According to Muthoni, the surge in activity and commitments following the attempt contributed to a brief delay in uploading all supporting evidence. Still, she stressed that this does not affect the validity or progress of her submission.

In an attached photo shared on her Facebook page, Truphena stated that Guinness World Records contacted her directly to confirm whether she could upload evidence from her most recent attempt.
In the message, the organization stated that the inquiry was meant to ensure that technical processes on her end were functioning correctly.
Muthoni responded by acknowledging the communication and requesting additional time, indicating that she would complete the upload within the week.
In her public message, Muthoni stressed that Guinness World Records operates a structured, methodical verification process that includes reviewing video footage, witness statements, timing data, and compliance with pre-approved guidelines.
She noted that until this process is complete, no approval or rejection can be officially issued, and any claims to the contrary are inaccurate.
She further appealed for patience from supporters and the general public, explaining that record verification is not prompt and often takes weeks or months, depending on the complexity of the attempt and the volume of submissions under review.
Muthoni stated that once the evidence review is concluded, the official outcome will be published through Guinness World Records’ recognized channels.
Muthoni further cautioned that misinformation can easily spread during this interim period, potentially undermining the integrity of legitimate attempts and the individuals behind them.
Muthoni concluded her statement by reaffirming her commitment to transparency and compliance with all established rules.

She assured supporters that updates would be shared once the process reaches a formal conclusion and thanked those who have continued to offer encouragement.
Evidence Required for Guinness World Record Verification
To approve a record attempt, Guinness World Records demands complete and verifiable documentation.
The process starts with continuous video footage of the entire attempt, showing the participant and activity without any breaks.
High-quality photographs must capture key stages, including the start, progress, and finish.
At least two credible witnesses must provide signed statements confirming the details of the attempt.
Official timekeeper logs are required to record exact timing and compliance with the rules, as well as a cover letter summarizing the attempt, location, and dates, which ties all evidence together.
All materials must be uploaded through the official Guinness World Records portal.
Missing or unclear documentation often leads to delays or rejection.
