In a candid and emotionally charged video, popular YouTuber and content creator Elodie Zone has shared distressing details about her current struggles, shedding light on both her mental well-being and her unsettling experiences in abusive relationships.
Elodie, a prominent social media influencer, opened up in a video, narrating a distressing story of abuse and homelessness that has left her feeling isolated and alone.
The video, which has gained rapid traction online, recounts how a trusted friend allegedly threw her out of their home in the middle of February 24, 2024, night, leaving her with no place to go.
As per the narration, her intoxicated friend became physically abusive, forcing security guards of the apartment to come to her rescue allowing her crash in one of the building’s empty rooms.
“It is 9:30 at night, he came home drunk and got physically abusive, he beat me and threw me out” narrated Elodie.
Elodie opens up about her experience
The YouTuber has been documenting her experience and struggles via her social media channels narrating her eviction, job loss among other family issues since January 2024.
“At the beginning of the year, I posted my reality to TikTok. That was great. It got a lot of support. I talked about losing my family, parting ways with my friends, dealing with a breakup due to intimacy issues, and losing my job,” she shared.
Forced to move from her apartment due to a no-pet restriction, Elodie who owns a dog had to leave several of her belongings with different people at the end of January.

“I have been hopping, skipping, and jumping from the entire month of February 2024, from Airbnb to Airbnb. It was nice having specific things in people’s homes that I trusted.”
“I did a whole house fumigation [in the host friend’s place] because they had cockroach infestation. It cost Ksh8,000. I did nice things to help sustain a home,” she shared, describing her desperate attempts to find temporary shelter.
Distraught and visibly shaken, Elodie revealed that this wasn’t her first experience with physically abusive relations, disclosing, “I have been in four relationships, and two of them have been physically abusive, and people will never know.”
“I have just come from being beaten, and it got so bad that the caretaker literally evacuated me into another apartment and said I’m not going to leave you in this apartment with this guy.” narrated Elodie.
Elodie speaks on her feelings of being unheard
Sitting amidst her scattered belongings in the empty apartment, Elodie expressed the profound pain of feeling unheard and misunderstood.
“The worst feeling in the world is one of just not being heard. Whether something bad has happened to you or you have had a negative thought, and I hate that even as this person threw me out. People don’t listen to me, and this is the same issue I had with my family,” she confessed.
Further Elodie’s notes that she shares her story online because she has no one else to talk to. She however hopes that someone who cares about her would get her message and help get her out of the lonely and distraught situation.
“I lost my job and all my streams of income. I’m so isolated. I’m numb,” adding, “Some of you are wondering, why are you posting this online? Because I have no one else to talk to. And believe me, I used to talk to my dog Max, but he isn’t here,” she lamented, highlighting the depths of her isolation.
The emotional video by Elodie not only brings attention to her personal struggles but also initiates a broader conversation about the prevalence of abuse in relationships and the crucial need for support and understanding.
