Kabarak University is a private chartered institution of higher learning in Kenya that offers quality Christian-based education, training, research, and community outreach.
The university was founded in 2000 by Kenya’s second President, the late Daniel T. Arap Moi, who also served as its first Chancellor.

His vision was to establish a Christian university that would meet the growing demand for higher education in Kenya while promoting strong moral values.
Daniel Moi also served as Chancellor of Kabarak University until his demise on 4th February 2020.

The university received its Letter of Interim Authority in October 2000 and admitted its first group of students in 2002.
On May 16, 2008, Kabarak University was awarded a Charter by the third President of Kenya, the late Mwai Kibaki, officially making it a fully accredited institution.

The main campus is located on a 600-acre farm about 20 kilometres from Nakuru City, along the Nakuru–Eldama Ravine road.

The campus offers academic, religious, and recreational facilities in a peaceful and scenic environment in the Rift Valley region—just 15 minutes from Nakuru town.
Kabarak University offers diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs across seven schools:
School of Business and Economics
This school has three departments:

The school provides degree programs in Education (Arts and Sciences) and Theology, including a Master of Theology program. It has three departments:

School of Science, Engineering, and Technology
This school offers a wide range of programs in science and technology, with three departments:

In addition, Kabarak University has an Institute of Postgraduate Studies, which oversees the admission, progression, and examination of all postgraduate students.

University Campus
Nakuru City Campus
Kabarak University’s Nakuru City Campus was established in September 2006 to expand access to higher education in the region.
It is located west of the Nakuru Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Showground, along Prison Road.
The campus operates from Kabarak Plaza, which is strategically situated along the Nakuru–Eldama Ravine highway, directly opposite the National Oil petrol station.
Kabarak University’s Nakuru City Campus offers a variety of postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma, and certificate courses. The available programs include:
