History and Growth

The company was founded on June 7, 2000, growing steadily over the years to become one of Kenya’s recognized oil marketing companies.

Initially, the firm was operating under the Galana Oil and Delta Service Stations brands.

The company built its presence through the development of a retail fuel station network across the country.

In December 2024, the company unified its operations under the Galana Energies brand, consolidating its retail, wholesale, and energy services into a single identity.

Over its 25-year history, the company has significantly expanded its footprint and positioned itself as a key player in Kenya’s competitive fuel distribution industry.

Services and Operations

Galana Energies operates across multiple segments of the petroleum value chain, focusing on importation, distribution, and retail of fuel products.

The company is also among the selected distributors under the government-to-government framework.

The services cater both retail customers and commercial clients including:

  • Petrol, diesel, kerosene supply
  • LPG distribution
  • lubricants

The company also provides bulk fuel delivery services to industries such as transport, construction, agriculture, hospitality, and manufacturing.

Galana Energies has expanded its customer experience through convenience services at selected stations, enhancing accessibility and service delivery for motorists and businesses.

Network and Market Presence

Galana Energies operates a growing network of fuel service stations across Kenya, with more than 50 stations under its retail footprint.

This network allows the company to serve a wide base of customers, including individual motorists and large-scale commercial users.

The company also employs a significant workforce and serves thousands of customers daily through its retail and bulk supply channels.

Its distribution model integrates depot-to-station logistics, enabling efficient fuel movement and inventory management across its network.

In addition, Galana Energies supports institutional and industrial clients through structured supply contracts and fuel management solutions.
