Dora Moono Nyambe, a 32-year-old Zambian influencer renowned for her humanitarian efforts in Africa, has passed away.
Her death was announced on her Instagram and TikTok accounts on Friday, December 27, with a message confirming she will be laid to rest on Monday, December 30.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden departure of our beloved Dora. She will be remembered as a loving mother, heroine, peace philanthropist, and an extraordinary woman,” the statement read.
Her online fans and international philanthropic organizations have mourned the death of Nyambe, eulogizing her as a loving and caring mother and philanthropist.
In December 2023, she partnered with Mr. Beast to bring improved accommodations to her community, further cementing her legacy as a force for good.

Dora Moono Nyambe’s Community Work in Zambia
Nyambe’s impact was deeply felt in Mapapa village, where her organization, Footprints of Hope, transformed lives, providing education and shelter to hundreds of children.
She provided shelter to over 200 children and education to more than 500, breaking barriers and creating opportunities for brighter futures.
Additionally, her nonprofit’s campus, as of 2023 housed 350 students, featuring dormitories, classroom buildings, a library, and a dining hall that provided three meals a day.
Her incredible work gained global recognition, with over 4 million TikTok followers supporting her mission.
In addition to fostering over 200 children, Nyambe adopted more than a dozen kids, creating a home full of love and opportunity.
She recently launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for a new bus for the students of Mapapa village. The fundraiser had garnered over Ksh5,150,000 ($40,000) of its Ksh10,300,000 ($80,000) goal at the time of her death.
Known for her resilience, authenticity, and compassion, Nyambe’s journey was driven by a desire to uplift the vulnerable and inspire hope in the next generation.

Cause of Death
The cause of Nyambe’s death has not yet been announced. However, earlier in December, she shared a video on TikTok showcasing a foot injury, though it remains unclear if the injury was related to her passing.
Additionally, a teacher who worked closely with Dora Moono Nyambe revealed on TikTok that the humanitarian passed away on Christmas Day, December 25.
Nyambe, who grew up in Lusaka, Zambia’s capital, dedicated her life to uplifting her community, spearheading efforts to build schools in Mapapa village, and providing education and shelter to hundreds of children.
She also raised awareness about critical issues like child marriages, using her TikTok and Instagram platforms, where she amassed over 4 million followers.
Less than a week before her passing, Nyambe shared her final TikTok video, a heartfelt montage of her moments with the students. The video carried an inspiring message, reflecting her unwavering determination in the face of challenges:
“When I started to adopt, people said I couldn’t do it because of my age and being unmarried,” she wrote over the video. Her caption poignantly read, “One day at a time.”
Her life’s work has left an indelible mark, not just in Mapapa village but across the world, inspiring countless individuals to follow in her footsteps.
Though her passing is a profound loss, Dora Moono Nyambe’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and the hope she inspired around the world.
