The African Union (AU) has announced job opportunities in five countries across the African continent.
In a statement on July 4, AU said that vacancies are available in Chad, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Niger.

“Apply to join the African Union and serve in various positions that are now open,” AU said.
The Union also mentioned that the vacancies include volunteer and internship positions.

The AU board is looking to recruit one Senior Compliance Officer (MNJTF) and Head of Mission Support Team (MNJTF) in N’Djamena, Chad.
In Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria, the AU is looking for a Compliance Policy Officer for the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).

Furthermore, AU is recruiting a director to lead the Centres for Public Health Emergency Management and Head Facilities and Asset Management Division of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (AfCDC) in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
According to the advert seen by The Kenya Times, the union is also looking for 525 individuals to fill the position of Rapid Responders – Epidemiologists for the African Volunteers Health Corps (AVoHC) at AfCDC.

Additionally, the African Union is seeking 25 Rapid Responders – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Experts for the AVoHC at the AfCDC.
The Union is also recruiting 50 interns to assist in providing administrative and technical support for the effective implementation of African Union programmes, projects, and activities in its Departments/Directorates.
How to apply
All applications will be submitted online with the deadlines for submission vary depending on the post applied for with latest before July 22.
First-time users of the online registration system, will need to register before they can log in. Candidates are advised to provide as much relevant information as possible.
Also to note, the applicants must complete their profile using the African Union CV template.
“Be aware that the use of the AU CV template is mandatory. Kindly download the CV from the link, fill and upload to apply for jobs,” AU said.
Consideration will be given only to those candidates who have submitted a fully completed online application with a curriculum vitae (CV), an African passport, and the required academic qualifications.

Upon successful submission of their application, applicants will receive an email confirmation that their application has been successfully received.
Only candidates who meet all job requirements and are selected for interviews will be contacted.
Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and also applicants from less represented countries within the African Union.
