The government has announced tenders for the Affordable Housing Program Project.
The Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development has invited experienced Developers to submit bids for the third round of Affordable Housing Program project.
The bid round will begin on 2 August 2023 and close on 17 August 2022 at 11.00am.
Interested and eligible parties will get an opportunity to bid for the advertised projects, after which, successful bidders will be required to undertake projects in joint-venture arrangements under a Design, Build, Finance and Transfer and/or Sell model.
Moreover, bidders will also be required to take on the construction of associated infrastructure on select sites.

How to Apply for the Tenders
Examine and download tender documents free of charge from the State Department’s website www.housingandurban.go.ke or the Bomayangu Portal: www.bomayangu.go.ke/tenders.
Register at the Supply Chain Management Office located at Ardhi House 6 floor wing “B” during normal working hours.
Submit tenders, a tender security in form of an on-demand guarantee from either a reputable Bank, a financial institution licensed by Central Bank of Kenya or an insurance company approved by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
The tender security shall be valid for a period of thirty days beyond the date of tender validity.
Interested bidders are advised to deliver completed tender documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and clearly marked with the Tender Number and Tender Description at the Head of Supply Chain Management Service’s office for the Principal Secretary.
Alternatively, they can deposit the tender documents in the Tender Box located on the 6th Floor, Ardhi House before the deadline.
Likewise, bulky documents shall be delivered and registered at the office of the Head Supply Chain Management Services on 6th Floor, Wing B. Ardhi House, 1″ Ngong Avenue.
Furthermore, bidders are advised to submit 1 original hard copy and soft copy In PDF format during bid opening which is a replica of the original bid document.

Thereafter, tenders will be opened immediately at the State Department for Housing and Urban Development Boardroom, located on 6 Floor wing “B”- Ardhi House, 1″Ngong Avenue off Ngong Road, in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
The ministry has warned that late tenders will be rejected.
