How to Apply for Kazi Mtaani Jobs

President William Ruto announced the nationwide re-introduction of the Kazi Mtaani Initiative on June 1, 2025.

The program targets 110,000 youths across 46 counties, excluding Nairobi.

“From next week, we will be rolling out Kazi Mtaani across the country. Youths 110,00 will benefit from the program,” announced Ruto.

The initiative through the Climate Resilience Service Program (CRSP) has received a Ksh 5 billion allocation from the Ministry of Roads. Kazi Mtaani applicants are required to submit their applications online.

Kazi Mtaani Applicants’ Eligibility & Criteria

To be eligible for the Kazi Mtaani ClimateWorkx program, applicants must meet certain criteria. Applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged between 18 to 35 years.

Additionally, applicants must be unemployed, reside in the targeted villages or neighbourhoods, and commit to working full-time for the assigned period.

Candidates seeking to apply for the job must also show a willingness to perform manual work and abide by the program’s rules and ethical standards.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their details via the Climate Resilience Service Program website. To do so, they should visit https://www.crsp.go.ke/, click on “Register,” and then proceed to fill out the form in the portal.

Further, the online application for the Kazi Mtaani “Climate Workx” program requires applicants to provide various details, including personal information, location, and employment specifics.

Under “Personal Details,” applicants are required to fill their full name as it appears on their ID, their ID number (or Maisha Card number), a mobile phone number registered to M-Pesa, their age, gender, and date of birth.

For “Location Information,” applicants are required to specify their county, sub-county, ward, village or settlement, and current residence.

The “Household Information” segment addresses household status, ensuring that only one applicant per household applies. Additionally, applicants must indicate their “Disability Status” where applicable.

Besides, those with National Youth Service (NYS) experience, particularly those seeking supervisory roles, will need to provide their “NYS Experience” status.

Finally, under “Education and Employment,” the form asks for their education level, current employment status, skill level, and a preferred job type. All these details are submitted through the official online portal.

Further Directives

Qualified candidates will be notified on the next steps in the recruitment process via text message on their registered mobile number.

Workers in the program will be entitled to Ksh 500 per day pay. Successful applicants will work in 10-day shifts and receive payment via M-Pesa.

Additionally, no physical forms will be accepted. All applications must be made online through the designated platform.
