The Migori County Public Service Board has announced 118 job vacancies across five departments.
In a notice published on Thursday, September 3, the county said the vacancies have been advertised to fill positions arising from natural attrition during the 2025/2026 financial year.
Successful candidates will be engaged on permanent or contract terms as indicated in the advertisement.
“Migori County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons for the following vacant positions arising due to natural attrition in the FY 2025/2025 and to be filled as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 under Article 176 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, Section 59(1)(b),” the notice read.
The recruitment covers professional and technical positions, with the most vacancies in the Department of Health Services.
Migori County Job Vacancies Across Health and Administration Departments
Among the positions advertised are Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Kenya Registered Clinical Officer III, Kenya Registered Nurse II, Public Health Officer, Pharmaceutical Technologist III, Nursing Officer, Laboratory Technologist I, Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer and Mortuary Attendant III.
The Kenya Registered Nurse II position has the most vacancies in the health department, with 28 posts available, while 10 positions have been set aside for Kenya Registered Clinical Officer III.
The county has also advertised four posts for Pharmaceutical Technologist III, four Nursing Officer positions, three Public Health Officer positions, three Laboratory Technologist I positions, four Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer positions, and two Mortuary Attendant III positions.
One position has been advertised for Medical Officer, while another is available for Pharmacist.
In the Department of Finance and Economic Planning, the county is seeking to recruit four Economists.
The Department of Public Service Management and Development has also opened several positions, including two Deputy Director Administration posts, two Assistant Director Administration positions, four Administrative Officer I posts and six Administrative Officer III positions.
The department has further advertised one position for Chief Public Communication Officer, one Sub-County Administrator for Suna-East, and three Senior Ward Administrator positions covering Wasimbete, Got Kachola and Kanyasa.
Another vacancy has been advertised under the Department of Special Programmes for Director Administration (Intergovernmental).

Education Department Advertises 31 positions
The Department of Education has advertised 31 vacancies, targeting early childhood development education.
The positions are:
- ECDE Teacher III – 10 positions
- Assistant ECDE Teacher III – 21 positions
The two cadres account for the second-largest share of the county’s recruitment.

Applicants are required to:
- Visit the Migori County Public Service Board website and access the vacancies section.
- Click Register to create an account and select the position they wish to apply for.
- Log in and complete the online application form.
- Upload relevant academic and professional documents.
- Proofread the application before submitting it by clicking “Apply Now.”
The deadline for submitting applications is September 23, 2026, at 5pm East Africa Time.

The board said shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original and certified copies of their national identity cards, academic certificates, transcripts, and professional testimonials during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will also be required to provide clearance certificates in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
These include a KRA Tax Compliance Certificate, HELB clearance certificate, EACC clearance certificate and Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department.
The board encouraged women, people living with disabilities and marginalized groups to apply.
It also warned applicants against canvassing, noting that any attempt to influence the recruitment process would lead to automatic disqualification.
The board also cautioned applicants against fraudsters and individuals claiming the can influence or facilitate recruitment.
