SHA Announces Mass Jobs, Including KCSE Grade D Positions

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced mass job opportunities, consisting of 507 positions, some of which require a minimum qualification of Grade D.

In a notice dated Friday, September 12, 2025, the Authority called on qualified personnel to apply.

“To enhance institutional capacity and deliver on its mandate, the SHA Board seeks to recruit visionary, result-driven, and experienced professionals for the following Senior Management positions,” read the notice.

According to the Authority, among the advertised positions requiring Grade D qualifications are Senior Driver roles, with three positions available.

SHA Declares 507 Job Opportunities

To qualify as a driver, applicants must meet some of the following requirements:

1. Nine (9) years of cumulative work experience, with three (3) years at the grade of Senior Driver or in a comparable position.
2. A valid BCE driving license without any current endorsement(s).
3. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade D plain or its equivalent qualification.
4. Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers.
5. First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (I) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.
6. Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

Some of the duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

1. Ensuring a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
2. Conduct periodic checks on the assigned vehicle to determine maintenance needs and report findings accordingly and on time.
3. Maintaining an up-to-date vehicle mileage log and managing work tickets for assigned vehicles.

Another position advertised with a Minimum qualification of Grade D is the position of Senior Office Assistant who has to meet the following requirements:

1. Nine (9) years of cumulative service period, with three (3) years at the level of Senior Office Assistant or a comparable position.
2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) means Grade D plain or its equivalent qualification.
3. Proficiency in Computer Application.
4. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Some of the duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

1. Collecting, dispatching mail, and running office errands.
2. Distribution of correspondences within the Authority.
3. Opening the office and ensuring general cleanliness.
4. Scanning, photocopying, and binding of documents.

1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
2. Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority
3. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
4. Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
5. Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB):
