Roots Party presidential aspirant Prof. George Wajackoyah was not able to vote after the IEBC KIEMS kit failed.
Wajackoyah arrived at the Indangalasia Primary School at Matungu in Kakamega County at around a quarter past 10 am.
Moreover, as of that time, no one in the polling station had cast their vote.
“We are waiting to see what happens, as they have said. They said they would give us another 11 hours and asked us to be patient,” he told voters outside the polling station.
Wajackoyah further accused IEBC of incompetence, adding that they could have tested the KIEMS kit deployed to identify voters.
“Why couldn’t they test the kits before the election? They have been saying we wait, we have gone and come back it is the same story. The older generation has even left.” He Stated
“In my stronghold of Matungu, people have not voted since morning and I have also not voted,” he said.”
Moreover, several areas across the country were yet as they experienced a delay over KIEMS kits failure.
