Additionally, he completed the Strategic Leadership Development Program at the Kenya School of Government and pursued a Strategic Governance and Strategic Intelligence Course at the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute in 2022.

Currently, he is serving as the Chairman Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency from 2019 to 2023.
Isaack Shaaban served as the Assistant Minister for Local Government from 2006 to 2007.
He was a Member of Parliament for Mandera East Constituency from 2003 to 2007 and from 1998 to 2002, he represented Mandera Township.
Isaack also served as a Member of Parliament for Lafey Constituency in Mandera County from 2013 to 2017.
Shaaban was a member of the Kenya African National Union (KANU) from 1994 to 2007, representing Mandera East.
In addition, he was a committee member of the Parliamentary Department of Security and National Administration.
From 1986 to 1992 he worked as the Inspector of water supplies.
