Muthoni Kariuki ‘Noni’ will lead Kenya’s historic return to the Miss International Beauty Pageant, one of the world’s most prestigious contests alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth — collectively known as the “Big Four.”

Her participation marks a new chapter for Kenya on the global stage of beauty, culture, and purpose — showcasing young women as leaders, changemakers, and climate champions.

The 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant will take place in Tokyo, Japan, bringing together over 80 delegates from across the world to celebrate beauty with purpose, culture, and international goodwill.

Muthoni Kariuki Educational Background

Muthoni Kariuki holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Journalism, specializing in Broadcast Journalism, from Kenya Methodist University, where she studied from September 2014 to October 2019.

She also earned a Certificate in Marketing Management from the European Business University in 2021.

Career Background

Muthoni Kariuki, popularly known as Noni, currently serves as the 1st Miss Tourism Africa, a role she has held since October 2022. In this position, she promotes sustainable tourism, ecotourism, and cultural exchange across the continent.

Crowned Miss Earth Kenya 2020, Muthoni represented the country at the international Miss Earth pageant, where she placed in the Top 20 out of 86 contestants and won three awards, including the prestigious Eco Angel Outfit title.
