Diana Marua Omach, popularly known as Diana Marua or Diana B, is a content creator, rapper, entrepreneur, and former reality TV star.

Diana was born on November 5, 1988, in Migori County but was raised in Nairobi, where her life journey began to take shape.

Early Life and Challenges

Diana’s childhood was not easy. She was raised mainly by her Luo father, Joseph Omach, a respected cancer advocate fighting against stigma for cancer patients, after her Kikuyu mother, Lillian Nyambura, left when she was just six years old.

Growing up in a single-parent household, Diana had to take on responsibilities for her younger sisters, Mitchelle Omach and Valerie Omach, who are now both make-up artists.

While reflecting on her younger years, Diana once shared that life was difficult, but those moments gave her the urge to succeed and change her future.

“You know I don’t think my mum was ever happy. I remember she used to cry and shika tama (be pensive) a lot. The home environment was tough. My father was extremely violent. I remember a time when he came home late and angry and started raining blows on my mum while she was breastfeeding my younger sister,” Diana told Magzter Magazine.

Education Background

Diana attended KCA University, where she earned a Diploma in Information Technology.

She furthered her education by studying a course in Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations at St. Paul’s University.

Career Journey: From Corporate Life to Fame

Before becoming famous, Diana worked in corporate jobs, including roles at KEMRI, Neo Marketing, and Bio Foods Limited.

However, her life took a great turn in 2015 when she appeared as a video vixen in Bahati’s song “Mapenzi.”

That moment marked the beginning of both her public career and her relationship with musician Kevin Bahati.

Diana later transitioned into content creation, launching her YouTube channel in 2019, where she shares lifestyle, family, and inspirational content.

The channel quickly grew to attract millions of views, making her one of Kenya’s top digital influencers.

In 2021, Diana reinvented herself once again by entering the music industry as Diana B, releasing rap songs such as “Hatutaachana” at Nairobi’s TradeMark Hotel and “One Day”

Diana Marua’s Family Life

Diana is married to artist Kelvin Bahati.

The two started as friends before becoming partners, and despite public criticism, including their age difference, their relationship has remained strong.

“I am only 2 years older than Bahati. In the beginning, it used to get to me but what matters right now is how he takes care of me. He makes me comfortable. He is the head of the house regardless of my age, I respect that boundary. I respect him as a husband,” Marua said during an interview with Radio Jambo.

Speaking about her love for Bahati, Diana once said:

“Others say I want him for the money. If it was about money, I would be with well-off people I have dated who would have offered me a lot, including cars. With Bahati, I asked God for someone who would love me genuinely, and Bahati was the man I knew I wanted to grow and build a legacy with,” said Diana.

Diana and Bahati are blessed with three biological children: Heaven Wendo Bahati, a girl, born in 2018 on Valentine’s Day, a boy named Majesty Bahati, and the last born, Malaika Bahati, born in 2022.

Marua is also a stepmother to Mueni Bahati, and they have an adopted son named Morgan Bahati.

Diana’s Transformation and Influence

Diana openly admits that her past lifestyle was very different from who she is today.

Before settling down with Bahati, Diana describes herself as carefree and deeply involved in party life
Diana says that before she met Bahati, she led a worldly lifestyle and did not attend church. She explains that her life used to start on Thursday and end on Monday, spending her entire weekends going on road trips.

Networth and Awards

Diana Marua’s net worth is estimated at approximately Ksh 50 million to Ksh 100 million, with her earnings coming from her YouTube channel, music career as Diana B, and brand endorsements.

Diana has earned several awards in the entertainment industry, including winning Social Media Personality of the Year at the Pulse Influencer Awards in 2022, receiving a nomination at the Kalasha Awards for Best TV Show through Being Bahati.
