Harmaton Sila was crowned Mister Global Kenya 2026 during the Mister Kenya 2026 Grand Finale held on May 1, 2026. The event took place at the Best Western Plus Meridian Hotel in Nairobi CBD.
The competition, themed “The Final Walk to the Crown,” was organized by Ubuntu Synergies Limited. It brought together contestants from a national-level male pageant.
Sila emerged as the overall winner, earning the Mister Kenya 2026 title and the right to represent Kenya at the international Mister Global 2026 competition.
Following the event, the University of Nairobi Faculty of Law confirmed his achievement in a public statement shared on May 3, 2026.
The faculty described Sila, a former Mr. University of Nairobi, as a student who has transitioned from campus-level recognition to national prominence.
“Proud moment @UoNLawFaculty as our student, Harmaton Sila, is crowned Mister Global Kenya 2026. Former Mr. University of Nairobi, now shining nationally,” the statement read.
The win positions him to represent Kenya on the global stage in the upcoming Mister Global competition.
Who is Harmaton Sila
Harmaton Sila is a second-year student at the University of Nairobi Faculty of Law and holds a degree from the University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Education and Arts, which he completed in 2025.
Sila grew up in a humble background and was raised by a single mother, Esther Mwelu Ndeto. His early life was marked by the loss of his mother to throat cancer while he was preparing for his KCSE examinations in Form Four.

Despite the setback, he continued with his education and later advanced to university-level studies.
During his time at the University of Nairobi, he held the title of Mr. University of Nairobi for the 2023/2024 academic year.
According to Harmaton Sila, his position qualified him to participate in the national Mr. Universities Kenya competition, where contestants from multiple institutions competed for the national crown.
The competition featured participation from 74 universities, each represented by two contestants, bringing the total number of participants to 148.
Prior to the final event, contestants underwent a three-day boot camp at Egerton University in Njoro, where they participated in physical training, modeling preparation, and question-and-answer sessions assessing intellect and composure under pressure.

University of Nairobi Supports Harmaton Sila’s Pageant Journey as He Wins Mr. Universities Kenya Title
Sila confirms that the University of Nairobi supported his participation in the competition by providing Ksh 40,000 to cover registration and boot camp expenses, enabling him to compete at the national level.
At the grand finale held after the boot camp, Harmaton Sila was crowned Mr. Universities Kenya.
The event marked a major milestone in his academic and personal journey, earning him recognition as a national student leader and representative of university students across the country.
Following his win, he used his platform to promote education, cancer awareness, and youth empowerment.
His work focused on encouraging young people to pursue their goals with resilience and determination while using leadership roles to support social causes.
