A Kenyan delivery rider, Brandon Kiplimo, from Eldoret, has died in a road accident in Qatar while returning to his residential camp after completing his deliveries.

His death has left family members, friends and fellow Kenyans in mourning as arrangements are made to bring his body back home.

In a report shared by The Kenyan Diaspora Media, Brandon was reportedly struck by a truck as he prepared to turn into his residential camp.

His friend, Brian Kipkemboi, said the rider sustained severe head and rib injuries that proved fatal.

Brandon Kiplimo travelled to Qatar after securing a delivery rider job, joining other Kenyans who move abroad to find work and opportunities to support themselves and their families.

His death has drawn attention to the circumstances surrounding the accident, which occurred when he was returning after completing his daily work.

Brandon Kiplimo Dies After Completing Deliveries in Qatar

According to the account shared by his friend, Brandon Kiplimo was nearing his residential camp when the truck hit him as he attempted to turn into the premises.

“He was hit by a truck just as he was about to turn into his residential camp. Sadly, he was so close to home, but fate had other plans,” he explained.

Kipkemboi said Brandon suffered head bleeding and rib injuries following the collision. The injuries proved fatal, cutting short his life while he was working away from home.

Brandon’s delivery job involved travelling between locations to serve customers. On the day of the accident, he had completed his deliveries and was returning to his residential camp when the incident occurred.

Details about the truck driver, the exact location of the crash and whether authorities have launched an investigation were not provided in the account shared by his friend.

The circumstances surrounding his death have left those who knew him grieving the loss of a young Kenyan who had travelled abroad for employment.

Employer Makes Arrangements to Repatriate Body to Kenya

Brandon’s employer is reportedly handling arrangements to repatriate his body to Kenya, where his family will be able to give him a final farewell.

His death has affected his relatives and friends in Eldoret, as well as Kenyans living and working in Qatar. News of the accident has prompted mourning among those who knew him and those following the account of his death.

His parents, including his mother, known as Mama Lavi, are facing the loss of their son as arrangements continue to bring his remains home.

Brandon Kiplimo travelled to Qatar to seek employment, where the worked as a delivery rider and earned a living abroad.

His death has left his family facing the difficult task of preparing for his burial while his body remains in Qatar.

The repatriation process will allow his relatives to receive his remains in Kenya and proceed with funeral arrangements.

For his family and friends, the loss marks the end of a life that had taken him abroad in search of work but ended in a road accident before he could return home safely.
