Comedian and media personality Dr. Ofweneke released a statement after YouTube pulled down his interview with Bonfire Adventures Managing Director Sarah Mtalii.
The interview was titled “What if I Post All the Nudes of Girls on His Phone?”

According to Ofweneke, the video was pulled down without prior notice or justification to his channel Dr Ofweneke TV. He states that the move sparks concern over censorship and suppression of free expression.
Dr. Ofweneke receives communication from PR firm
The comedian intimated that he had received communication from a Public Relations firm on behalf of Sarah Mtalii’s ex-husband Simon Kabu.

“The video which was published two months ago gained significant traction, amassing more than 500,000 views and generating widespread discussion,” said Ofweneke.

“I received a text message from a briefcase ‘PR firm’ and when I asked for a formal letter, I received one of the most unprofessional replies,” stated Ofweneke.
The comedian went ahead to explain the legal grounds his channel, Dr Ofweneke TV, stands on.
“We did not host Bonfire Adventures, we hosted Sarah Mtalii. As stipulated in the text message on matters of defamation, Dr. Ofweneke did not mention anything concerning Simon Kabu,” read the statement in part.
Ofweneke states Simon Kabu declined an interview
Dr Ofweneke TV has maintained that the video adhered to the platform’s policies. It stated that the particular video did not contain any harmful, misleading, or inappropriate material.
Ofweneke further stated that he had previously approached Simon Kabu for an interview but he declined. He said his legal team is following up on the matter.

“My legal and tech team is following up on the appeal, demanding a thorough review of the decision. I promise to continue bringing you life-changing guests so you can learn from them,” stated the creator.
Ofweneke hosted Sarah Mtalii on his channel shortly after parting ways with her husband. The interview sparked a debate online after she revealed little-known controversial experiences in her marriage which was once the envy of many.
