The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed the mutilated and boiled female body parts discovered at Lang’ata cemetery could be Deka Abdinoor Gorone.
Deka was reported missing at California Police Station on October 24, and the remains are being subjected to forensic analysis to ascertain the identity of the victim.
Further, DCI has linked the suspect of the murder to the Eastleigh murders, Hashim Dagane Muhumed.
According to the detectives, CCTV captured the last moments of Deka, placing her at Quickmart supermarket in the city, where she went shopping.
“While following up on crucial exhibits recovered at the scene, the detectives proceeded to a Quickmart supermarket within the city where it was established that the victim of the murder most foul was a lady who was captured by CCTV cameras while shopping on 29/10/2024,” stated DCI.

Last Moments of Lang’ata Cemetry Victim
Deka left the supermarket and went to an apartment in Lavington, where she was also captured by the CCTV cameras.
Later, she was noted to have been in the company of Hashim Dagane, the main suspect, who was living in the same apartment building.
The two are alleged to have spent time together.
Dagane was captured leaving the apartment the following day while carrying two trash bags, which were believed to have contained the body parts of the victim.
“Armed with crucial leads, the detectives have established that the lady was in the company of Hashim Dagane, who was residing in the said apartment,

“Where the duo spent time before Dagane was on 31/10/2024 captured leaving the apartment carrying two bags suspected to have contained the remains of the victim that were later in the day discovered at Langata cemetery.”

Landlord on the Loose
Moreover, after the suspect, Dagane left the apartment, the owner discovered what had happened on his premises.
According to the detectives, the landlord cleared the mess, had the rooms re-painted and disappeared.
The officers have launched a manhunt to bring the landlord to justice.
“He is being sought, and it is just a matter of time before he is smoked out of his hideout to face relevant charges.”
