The Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has reviewed petroleum products prices, announcing the latest ones effective Monday 15.
EPRA, through a statement by their Director General Daniel Bargoria said that the increase is attributable to the average cost of imported refined petroleum products which has seen the landing cost of imports varying in prices.
With the landing cost as of March, Super petrol increased by 8.63%, Diesel decreased by 2.51% while Kerosene also decreased by 1.13%. This means the products will increase by Kshs.3.40 per litre, Kshs.6.40 per litre and Kshs.15.19 per litre respectively.

The Diesel and Kerosene subsidies removed, petrol price in Nairobi stands at Ksh.182.70 per litre, diesel at Ksh.168.40 and Kerosene at Ksh.161.13 per litre.
EPRA director general also noted that the prices are inclusive of the 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2018, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
