“These are children whose fathers have been “killed” by the Government chemist of the Republic of Kenya. I know more than ten such children.”

The man does not stop there, he goes further to ensure the law does not force him into taking responsibility for his child.
“The matter goes to the Children’s Court and Juma asks for DNA tests. The DNA tests are carried out by the Government Chemist. Juma and his lawyer bribe the Government Chemist analysts and the test results “reveal” that Juma is not the biological father of the child,” he added.
The family lawyer revealed that he knows individuals who are guilty of altering DNA results.
High-profile individuals engaging in DNA fraud
“One of the Jumas is a millionaire businessman now ailing. Another Juma is a State House executive. Another Juma is a guy from my slopes. Another Juma is now a retired Officer Commanding Station (OCS),” he stated.
He narrated that the OCS had been supporting the child but stopped at some point. The mother of the child took the OCS to court and the court ordered a DNA test. The OCS allegedly bribed the Government Chemist and the results indicated he was not the biological father of the child.

The lawyer also stated that a renowned senator was also guilty of the same but began to behave better when he was put in the spotlight.
The issue of corruption in government chemists has been around for a while. A magistrate from a court in Nakuru stated it is dangerous to depend on results from the Government chemist as conclusive proof.
“There is a possibility the samples were interfered with since not even the analyst knows their chain of custody from the time, they were taken hence the results obtained are erroneous,” ruled Senior Resident Magistrate Judicaster Nthuku.
