One person died nine others were injured on Wednesday after two school buses collided in Kirinyaga County.
According to eyewitness, as heard by The Kenya Times, the injured were students and a school manager, and the deceased was a private teacher.

They also noted that the driver of one of the buses lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to overtake the other which was picking up a student.
Residents of the Kagio-Baricho road area helped to remove students trapped in the buses and rushed them to hospital.

“We tried what we could. Good samaritans rushed the pupils to different hospitals in Kirinyaga County,” Grace Kanini an area resident stated.

Police in Samburu on Tuesday, April 4 recovered six camels and arrested bandits suspected of being behind the theft.
“Earlier today April 4, 2023, a multi- agency security team subdued suspected bandits and recovered six camels at Mpaas Area, Loikumkum Location in Samburu North Sub-County.
“The animals which were part of the ten animals earlier reported today as missing, had been stolen from a grazing field,” police said in a statement.
The six camels were positively identified and handed over to the owner.
“The multi-agency security team lauds the local community for their immense support in the said recovery,” police added.
