The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has shared toll-free and direct lines to assist guardians and candidates facing challenges related to accessing examination results.

In a statement on January 9, KNEC confirmed that its call centre operates 24/7 to handle any results-related queries.

“For any results-related queries, our Call Centre is open 24/7. You can reach us on the following telephone lines,” read part of the statement.

This comes after the crash of the KNEC portal one hour after the release of the 2025 KCSE results, prompting parents to express frustration over delays in accessing the results.

The examination body has provided toll-free lines—0800 721 410 and 0800 724 900—as well as direct, non-toll-free lines—0796 975 104, 0796 974 984, 0796 975 132, 0796 974 985, 0797 147 335, and 0797 146 835—for guardians and candidates seeking assistance.

Other contacts listed on the website include the postal address for correspondence to the Chief Executive Officer, P.O. Box 73598–00200, Nairobi, Kenya.

The council can also be reached via phone on 0720 741 001, 0720 741 003, 0720 741 094, 0732 333 530, or 0732 333 780, by email at [email protected], or through its official website. In addition, KNEC’s fax number is +254 20 222 6032.

Procedure Of Accessing KCSE Results

Following the release of the 2025 KCSE results, KNEC outlined the procedure for accessing candidates’ results.

  • Enter the candidate’s index number and at least one name.
  • Accept the privacy and access notice.

The examination body stated that all results-related queries must be submitted through the heads of institutions within 30 days of the results release.

Queries submitted after this period will incur a fee.
