The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for 31 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 21, KUCCPS said the programs include certificate and diploma courses.
“Interested in medical courses? Good news! KUCCPS and Kenya Medical Training College are giving you a chance to apply for diploma and certificate KMTC programs for immediate intake,” KUCCPS stated.
Both first-time applicants and those who were not placed in earlier KMTC admission rounds are eligible to apply.
The applications are open for the next two weeks, with the deadline set for May 6, 2026.
KUCCPS Announces Immediate Intake of 31 KMTC Diploma and Certificate Courses
The Placement Service urged candidates seeking to apply for the courses to do so via the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke.
The programs fall under the health sciences and related fields and cover a wide range of medical and public health training areas.
At the certificate level, the courses include Community Health Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Health Insurance Management, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health.
Diploma programs open for applications include Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Community Health, Community Oral Health, Dental Technology, and Emergency Medical Technology.
Also listed are Diploma in Health Counseling, Health Insurance Management, Health Promotion, and Health Records and Information Technology.
Other diploma programs include Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, and Orthopedic Technology.
Additional courses include Orthopedic and Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.

How to Apply
To apply, students must log in to the KUCCPS portal, select their preferred KMTC courses, and submit their applications before the set deadline.
Upon accessing the application portal, an applicant will be prompted to enter their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number, KCSE year, and password.
Students are advised to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or their birth certificate number as their password.
Once logged in, applicants can click on the “KMTC Programs” tab to view the list of available courses and their minimum entry requirements. Only candidates who meet the specified requirements will be eligible to apply.
After reviewing the available options, applicants are advised to select their preferred courses and note the corresponding program codes. The application process is then initiated by clicking on the “KMTC Application” tab and selecting “Apply Now.”
