The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services – KUCCPS has completed processing applications for KMTC courses submitted from November 24, 2023.
In a statement, KUCCPS asked applicants to log in to the Student’s Portal to check the status of their application.
However, the KUCCPS indicated that the opportunities were limited.
The status of applications is accessible via the portal under the KMTC option.
For applications whose status was still active on the portal, KUCCPS clarified that the applicant did not secure a slot.
However, in such cases, the placement body promised that it would be consider the pending applications in other opportunities in the future.
“It means you did not secure a course, but your choices will be considered when another opportunity arises,” KUCCPs clarified in a statement.

KMTC is among the institutions offering higher learning studies in the country.
The College has 72 Campuses located in various parts of the country and accounts fora huge chunk of the local middle level workforce in the health facilities in Kenya.

Some of the programs offered at the institution include higher and lower diplomas in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Dental Technology, Pharmacy, Nursing and Diploma in Medical Education.
Besides the diploma and higher diploma studies, KMTC also offers certificate courses in nursing, nutrition, public health, and public health.
Health courses elevated to degree level
In 2022, however, KMTC received a certificate of registration and accreditation from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA).
Consequently, the College’s Higher National Diploma Qualifications were elevated to a level equivalent to the bachelor’s degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) III, Certified Public Secretary (CPS) or Master Craft Person I.

The move to register the college’s programs with the KNQA was meant to build confidence in its programmes and in turn attract more local and foreign.
Minimum requirements for joining the courses vary according to the specific programs and are usually stipulated on the application portal.
