Mark Bichachi Appeals for Financial Aid

Communication Strategist and media commentator Mark Bichachi has announced a suspension of all professional engagements to focus on a prolonged and worsening health condition.

In a public statement posted on October 20, Bichachi revealed that he has been battling a series of debilitating health issues for several years conditions that have taken a toll not only on his physical well-being but also on his emotional and financial stability.

“Today I suspended all Superman services to focus on my health,” Bichachi wrote. “I’ve thought long and hard whether to be honest about my health and the financial strain or just struggle.”

Mounting Health Challenges

Bichachi’s health challenges began with a three-year struggle involving migraines, hormonal imbalances, and diabetes-like symptoms, eventually traced to damage in his occipital nerve.

In March 2025, he underwent a surgical procedure to repair the nerve, which brought some relief. However, complications persisted, particularly related to high blood pressure and diabetes.

Last month, he was hospitalized following adverse reactions to medication, including panic attacks, painful stomach cramps, and severe acid reflux.

Subsequent medical investigations, including an endoscopy, revealed he had developed a Stage 3 hiatal hernia, requiring yet another surgery.

“The cost of medication alone in preparation for the surgery is overwhelming,” Bichachi shared. “My outpatient cover is over, so I have been surviving on my own money and the support of friends, some of whom are here.”

Financial Strain and Call for Support

Bichachi has now made a public appeal for financial assistance, citing escalating costs and a depleted health insurance cover.

He acknowledged starting an M-Changa account for possible fundraising but expressed uncertainty about sharing it publicly.

“I don’t know whether to do it myself as I always have,” he said. “But the bills are too much. The stress doesn’t help the pressure nor the diabetes nor the acidity.”

Bichachi expressed gratitude for friends and well-wishers who have supported him with grants and cash loans.

“Thanks to God and friends who have visited and given me grants and cash loans to survive. I’m still here.”

His Last Media Appearance

Prior to stepping back from the limelight, Bichachi made his last media appearance as a co-host on Spice FM’s The Situation Room, a popular current affairs show known for its in-depth analysis and engaging discussions.

He appeared alongside fellow host Ndu Okoh, where his sharp insights and passionate commentary were hallmarks of his presence on air.
