Lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso has suggested a name for his political party on Thursday, September 19.
In a statement Morara, has welcomed suggestions from the public to give out their views concerning the name he has suggested for his political party.
On his social media X account, Morara created a poll with the options ‘I support’ and ‘I oppose’ to enable the public to decide whether the suggested name suits his party well.
“We propose this name ‘Injection of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party,” part of the statement read.
Morara suggests political colors for his party
Morara also suggested the colors that he intends to use for his political party.
“Party colors I suggest Green and Gold. Green for fresh growth and Gold for prosperous future,” Morara’s statement read.
The lawyer’s suggestions on a party name come a day after a popular political activist, Mercy Tarus accused Morara of riding on his famous brand ‘Kenya ni Home Initiative.’
In her statement, Mercy Tarus accused Morara of seeking advice from her, taking credit for her advice, and using her brand to reach out to the masses.

Mercy’s claim on Morara using her brand
“You cannot keep coming to me for advice and your fake commitment to the ‘movement’ then you go out to use my initiative’s name, and slogan and plan to execute a vision you do not understand. Then you go out and act like you are so superior. Hold your horses,” Mercy’s statement read.
Mercy Tarus further claimed that Morara is being used as a proxy by politicians to derail the ‘Gen Z movement’ that had gathered momentum during the 2024 anti-finance bill protests.
Additionally, she told Morara to seek an alternative name for his movement without using hers.
“If you go from one city to another doing your things, kindly do it using your name and your initiative. Find a way to do your things, with your knowledge and resources,” her statement read.

However, in a statement seemingly responding to Mercy’s claim Morara said he is being fought by people he is fighting for.
“You never told me that there comes a time when the people you fight for turn around and fight you. You never told me that the people I sacrifice my life for can also sacrifice me. You never told me but now I know,” Morara claimed.
