MultiChoice Kenya has introduced major festive season discounts on its DStv and GOtv decoders, valid from November 1 to December 31, 2025.
The initiative is part of the company’s broader plan to regain lost subscribers and reinforce its footing in the increasingly competitive market.
Under the new offer, the DStv Zapper decoder now retails at Ksh 850, down from Ksh 1,199, while the GOtv decoder is priced at Ksh 799, reduced from Ksh 999.
Customers will also enjoy discounts on installation accessories. The DStv Dish Kit now costs Ksh 1,650 (down from Ksh 2,000), while the GOtv Antenna will go for Ksh 700 (down from Ksh 1,000).

Additionally, GOtv has reintroduced the GOtv Value package, now available for KSh 599.
The company said the festive promotion is part of its broader effort to make premium entertainment more accessible to Kenyan households during the holiday season.
“These offers are our way of saying thank you to our customers for their loyalty and trust, while inviting new customers to join our growing family,” MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director Nzola Miranda said during the announcement.
DStv Prices Per Package
MultiChoice Kenya announced a price adjustment for its Digital Satellite Television (DStv) packages in the country.
The Family package increased from Ksh2,000 to Ksh2,100.
The DStv Premium Package has commenced paying the current Ksh10,500, a sharp increase of Ksh600 from the previous Ksh9,900 for the package, which offers the highest number of channels among all packages.
Other new prices for the packages that took effect were Ksh6,500 for the Compact Plus, Ksh3,700 for the Compact, Ksh2,000 for the Family, and Ksh700 for the Lite, while the XtraView was set at Ksh1,500 per month.

GOtv prices
On the other hand, Multichoice also revised the prices for GOtv, with customers having to part with Ksh 3,700 for Supa Plus and Ksh 1,999 for Supa packages.
The revised GOtv Max and Lite packages were priced at Ksh1,499 and Ksh669, respectively, while the GOtv Value package maintained a monthly fee of Ksh999.

Multichoice Kenya Reports 15% Drop in Subscribers
Multichoice reported a 15% drop in subscribers for the period ending 31st March 2025.
The company attributed GOTV’s 15% decline in Kenya to weakened demand among low-end consumers, increased competition from free-to-air alternatives in the mass market, and a challenging macro-economic environment.
The company also cited a rise in internet connectivity, which has contributed to the growing problem of content piracy.
However, the entertainment platform recorded several successes in Kenya.
These included price adjustments implemented in April and November, resulting in a cumulative 12% increase, alongside strategic pricing and cost management efforts aimed at easing growth pressures.
Additionally, the average exchange rate improved by 12% year-on-year against the U.S. dollar, contributing to a notable 61% increase in profits over the same period.
Kenya accounted for 10% of Multichoice’s total subscription revenue across its operations outside South Africa.
