Murkomen Reshuffles Regional and County Commissioners in Major Shake-Up

He added that the transfers have taken into consideration the strengths and experiences of the officers as we address the various security and service delivery concerns.

“The promoted officers have the requisite qualifications, valuable experience and demonstrated zeal and exemplary performance in their duties,” read the statement in part.

Murkomen stated that the changes take effect immediately.

Murkomen Announces Transfers and Promotions of Regional and County Commissioners

In the latest changes, several Regional Commissioners have been transferred across different regions.

Rhoda Nyaboke Onyancha moves to the Coast region, while Paul Rotich has been transferred to the Eastern region.

Samson Macharia Irungu has been moved from the Coast region to Western, while Flora Nkatha Mworoah has been posted to Nyanza from the Office of the President headquarters.

In the deployment and promotion category, Jacob O. Muganda has been posted as County Commissioner for Meru from the Office of the President headquarters.

Onesmus Musyoki Kyatha moves to Kakamega from the Eastern region, while Allan Machari has been deployed to Western from the Office of the President headquarters.

At the same time, several Regional Commissioners have been retained in their current positions. They include Joshua Muriungi Nkanatha, who retains his position in the Central region, John Odhiambo Otieno, who remains in the North Eastern region, and Dr. Abdi Mohammed Hassan, PhD, who continues to serve in the Rift Valley region.

In the latest changes, Joseph Kibet Boen moves from Kiambu to Kilifi, while Stephen Kutwa Sangolo transfers from Baringo to Lamu. Jeremiah Mwai Gicheru shifts from Kericho to Tana River, and John Kiprotich Cheruiyot moves from Samburu to Meru.

Mwachaunga Mohamed Chaunga has been transferred from Kisii to Machakos, while Shufaa Omar Mwijuma moves from Nyamira to Kirinyaga. Alason Hussein shifts from Kirinyaga to Trans Nzoia, as Wesley Koech Mabwai moves from Lamu to Baringo.

James Taari Rwaria moves from PA/RC North Eastern to Kakamega, while Benson David Leparmorijo transfers from Kisumu to Nyamira. James Gatutha Kamau has been moved from Marsabit to Kisii.

Gideon Nyandiricha Oyagi shifts from Trans Nzoia to the Office of the President headquarters, alongside David Kipkosgei Kiprop, Josephine Auma Ouko, David Simiyu Wanyonyi, and Joseph Mwangi Wamuti, who have all been redeployed from various counties to OOP headquarters.

In the deployment category, Jackson Ngelai Olechuta moves from SDCC–Molo to Garissa, Ronald O. Enyakasi is deployed from OOP headquarters to Wajir, and Stanley Ndungu Kamande transfers from SDCC–Borabu to Marsabit.

George Odhiambo Omolo moves from SDCC–Nandi South to Isiolo, Isaac Keter Cheruiyot from SDCC–Masinga to Samburu, George O. Matundura from SDCC–Rongo to Kiambu, and Ali Omari from SDCC–Kamukunji to Kericho.
