Mwende Frey, a businesswoman, went to her X account ranting about how people were trolling her barber shop and killing her dream.
In an emotional video, Mwende accused her friends of tainting the image of her business, pleading with the said people to change.
For Mwende, Kenyans who are after sabotaging others should think about many Kenyans who depend on different brands for a living.
“You can hate me but remember I have eight smart and hardworking female barbers who have done nothing to you,” she wrote.
“Trying to bring down a business you have never been to with falsehoods proves how deprived you are. I will call out your business bullying until you stop,” she noted.
Mixed Reactions over trolls
However, some Kenyans defended Mwende but asked her not to bother what people say online since everyone has an opinion.
“I have been on Twitter for long and I can assure you arguing with Twitter users is very counterproductive and no one has ever won or seems to win any time soon,” Cyprian Nyakundi said.

Also, Khalif Kairo asked her to be strong for the sake of her business and to stop crying over trolls.
“Wipe those tears get an attitude and rub your business on their faces. You are strong,” he stated.
Notably, Kimeu Kivunga, another X user said the bullies were feeding on the sexualization of the work.
“You sexualized the work. The bullies are feeding on that sexualization. Not the actual barber services. It is good to stop responding to them or showing weakness by crying, they take advantage of it to continue bullying,” he noted.
Mwende Shop
Mwende’s business, the Man’s Chamber Barbershop has previously attracted the wrath of some Kenyans, accusing her of breaking marriages with her barber babes.
However, Mwende challenged women to up their game when it comes to taking care of men.
“This is not a brothel, it’s a grooming den for kings where African maidens serve them.
If you don’t want your man to come here, wash his feet when he comes home, give him a massage, make him look pretty, otherwise he will come here.
You should be thanking us for doing the work you’re not,” Mwende defended her business.
Notably, Mwende’s barbershop employs full-time twerk queens whose job is to dance suggestively to the male clients as they have their hair cut.
“I’ve got a lot of beautiful women here who twerk for our customers all day long, from morning to evening. It’s part of what we offer here, and we see absolutely nothing wrong with that,” Mwende said.
